Turks & Caicos ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡จ๐ŸŒฟ

This was the first stop on my trip around the world. I met a friend a friend in Miami and we flew to Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands. There was only one vegan/vegetarian restaurant on the island, Retreat Kitchen (which is now closed). Most of the local food is seafood and vegetables cooked in butter; however, the local grocery store has tons of vegan products and dishes at the deli.

Travel tips: We rented a car from a local rental car company, which made the whole island accessible within a short drive. Tons of vacation rentals and Air Bnb's available, find a friend and split the bill.

Retreat Kitchen was a cafe connected to a yoga studio located in the Grace Baby beach area. We went for both breakfast and lunch in between trips to the beach. Pictured is the Sunflower burger, zucchini pesto pasta and avocado toast. We ordered a caesar salad to-go for dinner, paired with the groceries we got from the market.

There isn't a lot of vegan options, but it's definitely worth the culture experience and ocean views. American Airlines and several budget airlines have affordable flights flying in from Miami. Stay tuned for more videos from my trip around the world via YouTube.
