A little bit about me...

 

   I spent the majority of my professional career in the entertainment industry, where I gained an interest in vegan culture. I had the pleasure of working with Paul McCartney, and he had a strict no-meat policy backstage. At that point, the only option for food was plant-based, so I had to expand my palette. During my work with tour concerts and music festivals, I noticed an exceptional amount of performing artists and music professionals were vegan (video via Munchies of Waka Flocka & Raury making vegan muffins).

 

Why I went plant-based...

 

   The journey began 5 years ago in pursuit of a healthier lifestyle (because I was too busy/lazy to go to the gym). The transition was a gradual progression of consuming more water, fruits, and vegetables while ceasing to consume sodas, fast food, dairy, and, eventually, meat. Honestly, the most difficult thing/place to give up was Chick-fil-a (the struggle was so real).

 

   Becoming a vegan isn't easy, so I created this blog as a resource for everyone that asks for recipes, advice/tips, plant-based protein, and those that say, "Ugh," whenever they hear the word vegan. This whole process has led me to a more health conscious life and a disciplined diet. My goal is to share vegan knowledge and insights so you can experience a plant-based vibe (that moment when you start treating your body like a garden and not a graveyard).  #staywoke
